As an FYI.
I called MR rewards yesterday twice (once for me once for my wife) at 1-800-297-3276up yesterday and mentioned the code 5748 (not 3882 that was unsuccessful).
I was put on hold for about 10 minutes and then I was told that the I am eligible and the extra 50K points will post to my account within 2 weeks.
I told a coworker about the code 5748 and he also got 2 successful replies.

Rep said the code 3882 applied for 'last year' and I applied this year so I don't qualify. She put me on hold to 'research' for 10 minutes and came back with code 5890 which I supposedly do qualify for. As I haven't yet hit the $1000 spending, she said I should call back as soon as I do and the additional 50k will be applied. She noted 5890 on my account.

It's really amazing how everyone's experiences seem to differ so much.

Update: I've reached the $1000, called Amex and 50,000 points were posted.

After being rejected via SM I decided to call MR. After a brief hold I got an additional 100,000K!!!!!!!!!!!

After the phone call I said a Shehecheyonu B'Sheim U'Malchus!!

I got the same when i called last week. Once in a while you get a moron. He looked up the bonus ID, said u qualify and put me on hold. He came back and said he added 100k to my account. I said thank you and have a good night

he gave me an addt'l 100k, rather than the difference....

Edit after seeing following post: I browsed dansdeals while i was on the phone. Not that i even know what chitas is
