The fee isn't waived. If you sign up for the 100k offer, you can get it matched to 100k.

For 100k? Of course it is!

Either way, you can spend the $1k immediately and the points will probably post within 60 days. If you cancel within 60 days you get the entire $450 back, if you cancel after 60 days it's prorated.

Would I have to transfer or spend the 100k points before cancelling?

What code do I use to get them to match the 100k offer? I've seen so many bonus codes floating around in this thread.

If you keep your Gold card open then you don't have to transfer the points out before cancelling. See the codes in the OP of this thread.

You sign up using this link, then you call after you're approved to get matched.

You can apply for the Platinum now.

I also edited the url and landed on the 50k page. But when I called for the 100k they said the bonus on the acct is 25k. To date only 25k has posted.

meaning you can't just call up and ask for the points but if your sly you might get lucky. It's been discussed earlier in the thread. Basically send an SM from one of your active account and mention the last few digits of your cancelled plat card and try your luck.

I called when I first activated the accvt and had them note that I'm eligible for the 100k. It wasn't posting so I called and they posted it manually
