Worth a shot I guess, dont hold your breath though....and its a big pain ensuring they get posted when the systems down, usually doesnt post when they promise it within 48 hours etc. unless your dealing with a supervisor or s.o that knows the ropes well.

Of course you can, but you can call in 3-4 times in a row over a week span, getting 48 hr promises and they aint showing up. It becomes a real pain eventually.

but how can u know exactly at what times the system is down? or would u first call with a different question to see what the respomse is and then call back...

Not blocking per se, just if you had too many points post to your account in a short span the system may not let them manually add any more for some time.

I just received my 75,000 from my Gold PR card (I actually received the targeted offer in the mail), would that prevent them from matching me on the Plat 100k point bonus do you think?

Yeah, sign up for the card and then ask them to match the 100k offer using the bonus code listed in the OP.

Well I have 2 active plat cards and a gold card (175k xtra pts) and I must have gotten the error on acct thing atleast 2 times

After the 10th time, I got at least some info out of them:

"Hello JonG,

I understand that you would like us to extend the benefits of the promotion (Bonus ID - 3882) to your account.

I would have liked to process your request. However, the promotion (Bonus ID - 3882) started on April 19, 2010 and expired on July 19, 2010. While your account was opened in the first week of August, 2010. This is why we are unable to tag this promotion with your account and can't issue the additional 50,000 points.

We appreciate your understanding in this matter."

I just got the 100k plat offer applied to my account and then when i called to get the 75k for the gold card, the 1st thing they mentioned was their concern about the fact that i received so many points recently. I then called up again and got a diff rep and was told that they have noted the offer code i mentioned and i need to call back in 8 weeks

I'm just not sure at all what to say when I call? This time I said "I have a friend who got the 100k offer, could you match me please? and she said NO right away.

What wording do I use? "Hi, can you check if I'm eligible for bonus offer 5748?"
