Just say that you applied for the card and now you became aware of a better offer. Tell them you want it matched and give her the bonus offer #

hehe good point, i'm always the most successful when i call on a friday and start blabbing about the weekend plans and wish him/her TGIF. Then i tell them to enjoy the nice weather etc.

Wow every time I call today it says unusually high call volume and I spend 10 mins on the line and no one picks up, I don't think I want to attempt it with that, they are probably stressed out right now!

Iirc it doesn't make a diff which way you do it so long as you waited the alloted time period

I think its 60 days- I might be mistaken, it seems like you canceled your first plat card. The less amex cards ÝÓu have active and open, the less chance you have of getting fr'ed so if you gonna apply for a 2nd charge card tell them you want a very low credit limit

They dont- but they still have an unofficial limit, you can't walk into a ferrari dealer ship and swipe your card. So u just ask them to make a hard credit limit on the card.

I just received all my bonus points only 2 weeks after signing up.

Do I just cancel the card now? I haven't been charged the $450 fee yet.

Dont cancel if you dont have any other cards to keep the mr account open, unless you sell your points first or use them.

Or transfer to an airline.(although I assume that's why you meant by "use them"?)

I meant any form of getting them out of your account for personal use aka airline, book something, purchase anything etc etc etc. but yea I shouldve been clearer.
