After 2 rejected secure messages for my Platinum card "extra" 50K, I called up and spoke to someone who got me the 50K within about 5 minutes. It was a very easy process.

Regular customer service or Membership rewards? I called cs, even spoke to a supervisor, he told me I have to apply separately for the other offer, and I can even keep both cards with the rewards on each. Not bad if I actually had the offer. Wondering if I should try CS again

Just tried the Plat CS and they informed me a supervisor will call me back tomorrow, actually today. Guys, please post who you spoke with when you called.

So, thanks to all the awesome posts, I too got my additional 50k, making this the best card I have ever signed up for.
I have now used the lounges in multiple cities, National car rental free upgrade, hertz rental for ridiculous low rate in Europe for the summer, purchased 3 one way tickets cross country, and took advantage of the 40% bonus for transferring the remaining 25k in BA miles, plus the additional 200$ in AA gift cards (which for some reason still has not credited to my account). The priority pass is prominently on display in my wallet, and the immigration access is on its way...
I have paid the 450$ back in Feb and I think I've got about all that I can out of this card,
QUESTION:
Is there any downside to canceling now and getting half the sign up fee prorated to my account? Will I lose any of my elite benefits (specifically the Hertz corporate rate, which is associated with the Plat card)?

I doubt that you will lose the Hertz benefit, because it is a corp. code like any other. If they ask you for ID, you'll have the card to show.

Has anyone had any success in getting the Gold 50K bonus and then getting the 50K platinum bonus, even though they applied after Feb , when the offer ended

I tried a few times a couple of days ago, a total no go. Tried again twice this morning and again the fact that I got the Gold bonus keeps on coming up

I spoke to someone who said he emailed his supervisor and will call me back within 3 days. I guess it's just luck on who picks up the phone.
