i called Amex CS last week and he said he'll put in a request for the extra mileage. forgot which code i mentioned.

i called amex plat to reinstate my card so i can get the extra 50k and they said it is possible they will do another hard pull when they process it.

does anybody have aany info on this? if yes then its woth applying for a whole new card and getting another 100k vs the additional 50k

I got the +50K even on my cancelled card via SM.

I would apply for another card if you don't have any recent approvals with Amex and the Platinum was opened for sometime.

If its a recent app and recent close I would mention 2 points , they dont do a hard pull if its close to your original app (2-3 months) Secondly unless you only do the 3 browser method 50k Membership Rewards is a great offer. If ts been a while go with AsherO

The Gold card is irrelevant to your question IMHO.

Just want to share with everyone something I picked up on. I was trying to help someone get 100k after getting him 50k from the original 25k which he got even though he signed for the 50k promo. Basically she told me that since I called already to get 50k they coudnt do the 100k. Point understood: When I called to get 50k basically she matched the status with bonus id 4986. You get one chance to match a status. So make sure its bonus ID 3882 100k!!

IMHO 5748 is more reliable

Why would he get 25k if he signed up for the 50k promo?
