It depends what the notation said- if it said u need to wait x amt of time u might have a hard time getting them to expedite it without a phone call.
If the notation said u should get the pts after you spend then u probably don't even need an sm. Good luck

I called twice, the first rep notated and said please wait until after 6/20/11 to get your points. I called on 6/17/11 after my 25k posted earlier than expected and asked for the 75k, and the rep said no you have to call back in 6 weeks.

I just got a response to my SM now and they said they saw the 2nd rep's notes and to SM them again in 6 weeks.

I think that is BS so I responded with an SM saying the first rep told me I would get them after 6/20/11 and to please honor that.

If that doesn't work, should I just call again?

I received and cancelled two amex plat cards in past last 6 months under the 50k bonus offer.

I applied again in order to get the 100k bonus offer and my application was deferred to a higher reconsideration department. Today, I called back for the status of my app and they advised that my app was cancelled because I "participated in too many bonus offers already this year."

Should I just hang low for a little while on Amex? Or try calling again? Thanks

Clicked through to try and apply for the card, and it says the deal is expired. Boohoo

Ah, got it! 2 browser-ed the Plat Charge Card and Gold Premier Charge cards, got instantly approved for both, and hoping that the matching will go through! Will update.

Since I don't have an AMEX account online yet, do you guys think I should call recon and get them to notate my account before I receive the cards?

Now if only my Saph Preferred and Chase CO can give me a decision... :/

Ah, yes, sorry for the typo. Considering I don't have, and can't sign up yet, for an online acct, would it be worth calling MR to see if they can note the acct and expedite the cards?

Reg CSR can cancel initial card and expedite replacement....For MR, most wait until they have the card in hand, makes for smoother sailing.

I got my 2nd Amex Platinum 6 weeks ago and they gave me 50K. After calling numerous times, they finally agreed to give me an additional 50K on 6/20, and sure enough, I sent an SM and they gave me the 50K today!

Not only that - they only gave my wife 10K on her Gold & refused multiple times to even go to 25K. I decided to try again today & they gave her the 75K!

The moral is - don't stop trying!

I guess they were having a very nice day today cuz they also finally gave me the extra 50,000 points today after quite a few calls. Transferred to delta with 50% bonus and then cancelled my card. They tried to make me feel bad by telling me that they see I just transferred 100,000 points today to delta. I told them I just got approved for the gold and the delta amex which made more sense for me to have over the plat as they had lower annual fees and they agreed.

did the triple browser for plat 25k, gold 15k, delta 25k and approved for all. these are my first amex cards, so i don't have a membership rewards account yet, but still called after to see if i could get the bonuses on the plat and gold. the first rep couldn't even find my account numbers and the next one to call back after i activated the cards (presumably in 1-2 wks) and give them the bonus ID then. similar experiences for you guys in waiting till you actually got the card or should i keep calling to get a notation that i will get the bonuses?
