What really made me go for it was the i3-380M, it has awesome CPU benchmark scores on every site I look.

Also, CSR told me it has 4 DIMMS, from what I read online it has 2; do you think I should call before it ships, once it ships, or once I get it to complain and get some $$ off?

The bullet points you highlighted don't say much. The i3-380M is not the most recent iteration of the mobile i3 processor, the new ones have four digit names.

The only way to say if it's a good value, is if you share how much you paid.
