Assuming you are in the US, and only have a week and a half, I would shoot for Hawaii. For such a short trip, you don't want to waste it on travel time, and jet-lag.

What the shabbos issues with Hawaii? The international dateline shayla?
Hawaii also causes jetlag and wasted travel time.
And yes the issue is due to the dateline.

Or spend second half of week along with Shabbos in California and head over to cover one island for a full week.
i think he lives in California so probably not looking to spend shabbos honeymoon there

Hawaii also causes jetlag and wasted travel time.
And yes the issue is due to the dateline.

From the US, one can get a direct flight to Hawaii, and travel time is nowhere near like flying to Asia, or Maldives, etc.
From California to Hawaii is only a two hour time difference, while to e.g. Maldives it is a 13 hour time difference.

Plus travelling East to West is much easier to adjust. Travelling east causes more problems than travelling west because the body clock has to be advanced, which is more difficult for the majority of humans than delaying it. Most people have an endogenous circadian rhythm that is longer than 24 hours, so lengthening a day is less troublesome than shortening it.

As far as the dateline, the Chazon Ish zt"l was the gadol hador, and paskened for the Mirrer Yeshiva to keep Shabbos on Sunday in Japan. Following this, Shabbes is on Saturday in Hawaii. Also, the view of the Chazon Ish is most significant, as it is reflected in the opinion of the Rishonim (Kuzary and Ba'al Hamaor).

(Speaking of the Chazon Ish, there was a case of a child with a brain tumor, and the neurosurgeons were reluctant to operate, till the Chazon Ish drew a diagram http://hebrewbooks.org/pdfpager.aspx?req=21194&pgnum=504 )

Sounds like CNX+USM would be a good choice.

is that based on specific hotel point destinations? Or mainly slow-paced, relaxing honeymoon, good-weather cities?

I guess I did learn one big thing on DDF.
A honeymoon aint a honeymoon without an upgrade of some sort.

OK!

So right now I'm pretty much down to Bora Bora, vs Seychelles.

Any input regarding which of the 2 to go with?

Are there hotels available for your dates?
Are there good flights available?
Is Shabbos in Bora Bora a problem for you?
Do you want to do more activities?

Both great choices. Prob depends on how much time you have (Add in Dubai on way to SEZ?) and what you are looking for.

Both are beautiful. Prob the two nicest islands I've been too. A lot depends on which hotel you stay at
