TD in Lawrence Plaza is hosting a free BBQ at 12:00 today. COR Mashgiach on site.

Expect the food to go quickly as it's free for anyone, not just TD customers and not just Kosher eaters

Question about where to stay-

I plan on being in the TOR Area 8/21 and 8/24 (plan on leaving Friday AM).

Things I want to do there:
HHOF/CN Tower
Canada's Wonderland (in Vaughan)
Possibly a Hamilton Tigercats game in Hamilton

Is it worth the extra $$ to stay in Downtown TOR? Or should I focus on staying on the outskirts of town and just get earlier starts to my day?

Did both, but on next trip I'll stay downtown, especially if it is a short stay.

Closest nice place to eat is Windsor Arms, although they're only open 1 or 2 nightals a week I think. If you just want pizza downtown there's a King David Pizza  in Mount Sinai Hospital I think.

The next closest would be places on Eglinton Ave, which are Marron Bistro (nice meat place), Bistro Grande (nice milk) and Aish Tanoor (sit-down shwarma). Once you go that far though its only another 5 min to other places, so what are you looking for?

Then I guess Marron or Windsor Arms (if it's open when you're there). There's also Gladstones but it's much farther from downtown. Those are basically the only 3 options for what you're looking for I think.

I was at Aish Tanoor, good humus, shawarma, salads .  Did not try Marron or Grande.

Depends what you're into.

There's the CN Tower if you want. You get a really nice view of the city if it's not cloudy and you can say that you we went up what was as it some point the tallest freestanding structure in the world Lines can be very long even if you buy tickets online, which saves a few minutes.

There's a Ripley's aquarium right next to the CN Tower and Rogers Center.

You can take a ferry to the Toronto Islands, and then walk around, bike (they have regular bikes and 2-4 person quadracycles) or go to the clothing optional beach if that's your sort of chill.

There's the Royal Ontario Museum if you're into Museums, or the Art Gallery of Ontario if you're into that stuff.

There's also some nice segwaying in the distillery district if you want....

I once did a distillery district segway Tour and it was nice. It looks expensive but you can always try Groupon.

Anyone know how the ferry works? I see on the website there’s a few diff pickup and dropoff locations and I’m not familiar with any of it
