Does a British Airways upgrade certificate, or another such instrument for upgrading a BA flight without using miles, exist? I'm looking for something along the lines of an SWU, GPU, etc...

yes its called a gold upgrade voucher and you get one thats good for 2 passengers at 2500 tier points and 2 that are good for one person each at 3500 tier points

Thanks! Can they be applied to anyone's flight, or only the account holder? Is it possible that someone  would have any available at this point of the year, or do they reset every January?

1.they can be applied to any booking that the account holder pays for
2.they expire 12 months after earning it
