So, anyone else have experience with this 🙈
http://www.myjewishlearning.com/article/ask-the-expert-using-the-ocean-as-a-mikveh

Or do you cancel the trip if mikvah night interferes with a planned trip?
Ill start the revival of this thread with this 1 ;),  i have had many trips where DW needed to go to the mik, my Rabbi told me i shouldn't cancel any trips, if we were able to find a mik within a reasonable travel time then we did that ( i have taken 2h flights for mik) if not then we waited (even longer) and she went when she came back

Wow. Two hour flight is quite a trip for a mik. And I'm surprised that waiting is preferred to ocean mik
Jury Duty: Nothing to do there but chill and write a TR. Kinda like the beach but missing the view and ocean breeze.

Not surprised at all. Ocean has a real halachik issue, whereas waiting that has no real basis in halacha. (But still Rabbonim were always strict about it for the obvious reason)

Rereading his post, I see it's not so clear he meant that, but I assumed it Bec he quoted ur post about going in the ocean

If you're not using BC, I'd be surprised at a psak to delay mikvah over using the ocean.

Why would you be surprised? Did you ask your LOR and get a different answer?
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

You planned an awesome trip to MLE and 11 days before the trip comes rebbetzin flo.
You can't change the dates or get all the awards lined up again.

Do you cancel the trip or ask your LOR about using the ocean on night 1?

On the topic of the ocean, a Rav once told me he'd rather have a woman go during day 8 than going to a dark ocean at night.
