Seems to have the fifth part spelled out in the last paragraph, to the extent that it could be spelled out.
I feel like this is another example of "those less careful" having an advantage over those "more frum".

Depending on the age, circumstances a Rav may highly discourage this. There’s a difference between a middle aged couple and newlyweds or even married longer who haven’t been mekayeim pru urevu. Even older couples are likely asking for trouble at the very least with hirhurim assurim especially with a beach destination etc. and she has been assur to him for the better part of a month.

So... Asking for a friend, how does one know if a lake is kosher for mikva?
Jury Duty: Nothing to do there but chill and write a TR. Kinda like the beach but missing the view and ocean breeze.

The bottom line is, don't use DDF for Halachic guidance on this. Go to your LOR who is well versed in the 5th part of Shulchan Oruch (in addition to the other pertinent part).

Obviously. However, there are advantages with coming with some background knowledge

Assuming we are talking about waters that are not completely still, one of the more complicated issues in mikvaos. Some of the factors include the season, recent rainfall, how the lake was formed, underground aquifers feeding the lake and its tributaries, storm water discharge, and rate of flow, and extenuating circumstances among others. You really have to be part hydrologist part Rav to accurately assess a particular lake or river. I have seen rabbanim who have made assumptions about lakes that were not borne out by the hydrological reality and were surprised to see the info.

Search the app store for Mikvah and you will probably find something. AYLOR about details and using it. I recall an excellent PC (DOS based) program back in the 1990s which was highly customizable in regards to shittos and IIRC worked very well and was user friendly. IINM the developer pulled it off the market (I don't think he was even selling it) due to rabbinical concerns about not satisfying requirements for counting and record keeping.

Exactly. Many Rabbonim are against such a thing.

I think this is about a different type of app.

I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

Sounds like this is an app to ask shailos.

The idea that an app is worse than pen and paper can only be promulgated by someone who never actually did both for a few months, IMHO

IINM one of the requirements in order to endorse an app is that there needs to be an ability to print on paper.

to clarify - i was asking about a app to track the monthly schedule, not a app to send pics to a rav/ask questions.

i cant see why any rav would be against using a app to track, its like not trusting excel or a calculator

it is 2021....

I understand the entire post besides the last few words

Why should the year have any weight on if it should be acceptable or not?

Do you feel that this should not have been acceptable in the 1980's?

A) what app/site can not be printed?
B) for what purpose?

what i meant is that bec it is 2021 most people have learned to trust and rely on technology....in 1980 when technology wasnt part of everyones lives i could see why a rav would be hesistant to trust such a thing....
