Times aren't always great. Crossing via land is also an option.
Especially if going to Petra. Though I've never been there or crossed over, I would imagine that if you fly into AMM (which as I suggested, might make sense from ORD) and head from there to Petra, crossing over at the Rabin Crossing down south makes more sense, and then work your way up north on the Israeli side. I would imagine infrastructure is better. Also, somewhere along the route you might go on a camelback or donkey back (which if I understand correctly is a practical way for reaching the last mile to Petra).
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

Trying for some PC?  :P

Not in the slightest! I'd be up for a Ohel/770 DO, Israel/Petra will be much harder for me to crack.

LOL.  I need to figure if I'm going solo or with the family.  If solo, I'm definitely doing an Eilat-Petra-Wadi Rum-Eilat excursion.

Has anyone been to Petra. DW added it to the list.  >:(

Sounds like a smart lady  8)

It is no longer a question of if but when. It will be for DW and I. First I want to thank everyone that has helped so far!!!
Time frame will be anytime after 8/1. Can fly on any day.  ;)
Will leave from ORD. Would like business/first flight with easy connection and not to long of a layover. Been looking at Swiss and Turkish so far.
Have MR, UR, HGP, UA, and AA. Can generate anything else except SPG.
Would like to be centrally located to see the sites.
DW loves to shop. She can spend all day at a mall. She also wants to float in the Dead Sea.
Open to any and all suggestions.
Any updates on interesting plans?

Air Canada isn't on the Amex plat airline list, no?

J & F don't need to be on the list.
What about premium economy?

Only J and F are universal.

Before I start asking questions I want to thank JTZ for starting this thread. It would be great if we could both go at the same time.

What would be the best time from Oct going forward?
