I got some emails today saying that the offer (to choose between $100 or 10K) is available until Feb 28.

I got an email
Saying they gave me 10,000 Miles!

BUT my account stayed empty

I called and they deposited them

The email they sent states that they opened an account for me and I can choose between the 10k or $100 by pressing the "activate now' button.

why would Alaska tell me I need to have an activity of a flown flight on virgin to qualify ?

Don't currently have an Alaska account. I'm currently on huca round 2. I might try that if this call isn't successful.

So make life easy for them and make an account. That way all the CSR has to do is deposit the points instead of the having to make your account first.
