These 'bugs' seem to be moving, but this is actually a static image. Note that whenever you focus on a particular 'bug,' it seems to stop moving.

what is the illusion? That it turns both ways? Bec it is actually moving. (Isolate just one car on the ferris wheel by covering the rest of the picture and you will see that it actually moves)

If you stare at one side of the picture it will turn say clockwise, but when you look at the other side the wheel starts turning counter-clockwise. Could be top to bottom or side to side that it changes YMMV.

It's actually just swinging back and forth and yet gives the illusion of moving in either direction
