The question was if the fares loaded. They did load, we just don't like their rates (rightfully so)..

Don't forget about the $700+ "taxes" for flights leaving the US (when booking with EK)

EK showing Flex/Saver in F for these dates, so partners should have that.


However AS online not showing F space (not that you'd be booking with them anyways).

From DDMS:

A round-trip on either route or an open-jaw (for example departing JFK-Milan and returning Athens-Newark) costs 40K JAL miles in coach, 65K in business, or 100K in first class, round-trip.

No, those rates were based off a RT (and taxes based off ex-EU). EK charges more miles per segment if booking a OW (call it a penalty if you will). Also, YQ is much higher ex-US.

OW EWR-ATH in F with EK is 85k + $550.

JAL is better for round trip

JAL is also better for OW (although it would be a shame not using the second segment in the next year).

EK F OW EWR-ATH:
EK = 85k MR + $550.
JAL = 100k SPG + $70 (plus you get another "free" flight home).

So for an extra 15k you save $480.
