Is transferring 5k UR to IHG for a pointbreak redemption a good value for UR? On that note, is the IHG CC worth getting, and MS on, to use with Pointbreaks?

Keep in mind that you can "buy" IHG points for .7 cents a piece anytime you want.

Same as regular points stays. Depends on the hotel, but usually free until 24 hours before.
