$100 more is it good? http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0354470

Personally I don't like AMDs, so I'm not sure what this processor is worth. Maybe I'm just buying into Intel's marketing hype.

Do you think it's worth waiting a few week for a deal? I am on a tight budget, and i need one before the summer, it could be a netbook also, but not more than $200-250 for a netbook.

My brother is very happy with his Sammy netbook with 2GB RAM:

I'm not a netbook guy, but for people on a tight budget they can make sense.

Don't buy a netbook. When do you consider summer? Bear in mind that it may take as long as three weeks from when you order until it arrived.

Summer starts in the ends of June. Why do u say not to buy a netbook?

Not worth it if you've got $100-150 more to spend, especially if you don't specifically prefer the size/weight.

Thanks, but $350 (including tax) is a little too high on my budget for a netbook...

2gb in a netbook might be workable for the OP's uses, but like I said:

Not worth it if you've got $100-150 more to spend, especially if you don't specifically prefer the size/weight.

This is even more true considering the Sammy's price tag, though at $350 I bet it's built well, and the OP values that.

Don't know anyone in NJ/CT to send it to?
You can also always upgrade to 2GB at a later date if you decide you want to speed it up after trying it out.

I'd spend the money on a Sammy.  Gateway isn't exactly known for quality products.

Even for double the price?

I'm sure there are NJ based DDF'ers that could bring a netbook up to CH sometime.

Is the Gateway new or refurb?
Can you buy it on an AMEX for the warranty coverage?
Specs?
