When you paste it below it should follow the pattern
Can you elaborate please? Sorry, all of my excel/sheets knowledge is self taught and very basic. I usually use formulas to output a number from multiple cells to a single cell, I never use it for multiple to multiple.

Looking for some help with a basic formula. I have a spreadsheet that has a name in column A and a balance in column B. My goal is to have column C give me a specific percentage of the cell in column B. Is there a general formula that means "the previous cell in this row" or do I need to manually adjust the formula for each cell in the column?
In C2, put =B2*0.5 (if you want 50%, you can change that to whatever you need). Then copy that cell and paste it to the entire column and it will automatically modify the row numbers as needed.
Workflowy. You won't know what you're missing until you try it.

Or you can paste this into C2 and it will fill down automatically
=arrayformula(B2:B*0.5)

Thanks. Ended up putting the formula in and auto filling down the column.

Today I learned:

If you type doc.new into the url bar, you get a new google doc. Type sheet.new and you get a new google sheet.

How did I not know this until now??

I would like to copy a whole column to paste outside of the spreadsheet, but it only ends up pasting the top cell. Any way to do it?

If you select the cell/cells and do a long press, one of the options should be "clear". If you don't see it make sure you have permission to edit...

That clears it, but I want to delete it and move up the cells below it, as I would on a PC.

I have an IMPORTXML formula which returns results like this:

Code: [Select]
A
1
B
2
C
3

Is there any way to wrap the formula in something which would have the results display like this?
Code: [Select]
A    1
B    2
C    3
?

TIA

Thanks for answering! I can do that but I was looking for something to wrap the entire table in, that would produce an array, so I don't have to drag /modify each time the IMPORTXML changes.

Anyone have a script that works on mobile sheets for automatically showing the tracking status next to every tracking number I put in?  I have one but it only works for UPS (you switch L8 for the cell you have the tracking number in)
=index(IMPORTXML("https://wwwapps.ups.com/tracking/tracking.cgi?tracknum="&L8,"//*[contains(@class,'ups-group')]"),2)

Try this:
Code: [Select]
=query(importxml("http://www.boxoh.com/?t="&L8,"//div[([member=17672]ID[/member] ='container')]"),"SELECT Col1")
(I haven't tried it on mobile but looks like it works on desktop)

Can you try visiting this link but putting your tracking # at the end, and see if it shows you anything?
