And the following modem-

I pay for optimum 300 and am getting speeds of only 20-30 mbps. What am I doing wrong and what needs to be fixed?

Step 1:
Plug computer directly into modem via Ethernet cable and run a Speedtest. This will tell you if you’re getting what you pay for and it’s being lost in your house, or if it’s coming in short.

Once you know where the problem is, you can figure out Step 2.

Thanks I tried that and it’s actually the same... but recently the speeds were under 10 mbps, and sometimes not working at all even after unplugging and plugging back...

Has anyone had luck getting the promotion pricing after attempting to cancel or actually swapping out service for 30 days and coming back to optimum?

I switched from an old slow plan at $40 to the $15 altice plan.
Cancelled over the phone and called back to subscribe.

This altis plan is marketed under optimum?

 Don't even see where I can sign up for altice only the mobile internet.

Did you talk to Optimum CS or Altice CS?

Call the Altice number 8443583147 (the website security certificate is expired, if you don't feel safe applying online until that gets fixed).

Called optimum and they told me that on their end everything is fine and that the problem is with my modem. Does that make sense? I have a Netgear cm500 which I bought used on eBay...

if you can get a hold of someone else's modem that works and try it, that will tell you if it's your modem or it's optimum.

On this page https://www.optimum.net/internet/manage-devices/ I see one device of 23 available, but there is no option to add additional devices.
