In the teshuva @imayid2  just posted, he clearly says baal nefesh yachmir.

ETA: He actually says less than baal nefesh yachmir. He says l'baalei nefesh, min haraui lehachmir and continues to say that you're allowed to be machmir.

I asked RMG about why Rav Dovid started being makpid on CY and said "he became a baal nefesh".

Many bochurim have asked Rav Reuven if they can stop being makpid on CY, and he typically said they shouldn't change from what their father does.

Mentioning it at the end of a whole tshuva does not tell you that it was a very big factor at all. It is very clear that there were those trying to paint those being meikil as not following halacha and R Moshe definitely took exception to such an attitude.

Ensuring proper speed can be taxing. Also, you don’t get to jab about being “obsessed” and get away with it. Besides, dealing with your comments can be edgy sometimes, you go back and forth without conceding the point.
