yeah, i hid it to clean it up, did not think anyone uses it, should I bring it back?

Eh, you're right. It would probably clutter the page. I can always switch to desktop if need be.

Outputting full content in RSS feeds would result in a significant increase in feed creation time + it would mess up the digest emails etc.

Once you subscribe to notifications, the annoying icon on the bottom should disappear.

We do have plans of including the subscription toggle in the gear dialog - we just have to see how members adjust to notifications etc first.
