Just link the paypal account to your Key account (in paypal) and withdraw (also in paypal) $500 to Key.

well they just closed my account after sending in proof of my mailing address!!!! and that my info is inconsistent with the disclosure and agreement i signed when opening my account bla bla bla

I feel bad for you that you had a poor experience with Key, I have had nothing but good ones. I have gotten 2 GPS's, Ipod Nano, about $1000, iPod Touch (2nd Gen), and now I am working on my second iPod touch...

1 per $2 for credit, 1 per $6 for debit.
$30 annual fee after 1st free year, waived with something like $30K in annual purchases.

Regarding the mention of the promo, there was one screen that you should have seen the offer code prefilled if you used the correct link...

If I remember correctly when I looked at the terms of the most basic account state that in order to keep the account fee-free you must have deposits totaling $500 or 5 customer initiated transactions per month. You only need the Direct Deposit and 10 payments/purchases for the first three months in order to qualify for the promotion.

Does anyone know if the transfers pushed from another bank actually work? I saw that someone had posted that the terms should technically not include such transactions but does it still work? If not is there a proven way to accomplish this other than actually having a real DD.
