i agree but I find 10-11 hours not enough when you take away 8 for sleeping
I barely finish a movie 2 meals and pray
I feel rushed and fomo

Flying J on UA 84 will also get you there feeling like a person, especially if this is true

Meaning you don't like flying direct because the flight is too short. That's certainly an interesting perspective.

Let me just understand this... Do people fly JFK-HKG-TLV as a thing? Why would you fly such a roundabout way unless you're Ferdinand Magellan? Please enlighten me.

Not all of us live in the US. And for those of us who live in Israel this is a fantastic way to get to Asia..  which I do pretty much every chance I get. At only 40k AA OW in J, this is a steal! From HKG I can easily connect to most places in asia on many OW carriers.
