Topic Wiki

The game is played as follows:
One player starts off with two words. The next post has to include one of the previous two words (It doesn't matter which) with one new word, making a new phrase. Each new phrase stands alone and does not have to have any connection with the previous phrase besides for sharing one word.

For example:
1st = Limited Time
2nd = Dinner Time
3rd = Time Out
4th = Out field
You get the point.....

Some rules:

1. Each post should contain only two words
2. Breaking up words like neighborhood to neighbor hood is not allowed
3. The two words have to produce a phrase that makes sense; "Pizza Boots" would not be an eligible post, as that really doesn't make any sense.
4. One is allowed to make up their own phrase as long as it makes sense.
5. The word being kept is allowed to be changed from plural to singular or vice versa in order to make the new phrase work.
6. Names are allowed to be used as phrases.
7. There is no limit to how many times a single word can be used.

There's a separate thread for that!
I think we need to update the rules on whether breaking up words is allowed, and whether one can make up their own phrases. Another option is to create another thread with similar rules but 3 word phrases.

Also, can the word being kept be changed (plural to single or vice versa) and are names allowed as phrases?

I defer to the OP of this thread to update the rules.

I think there is no option to edit the original post. So, no luck :)

You don't have to edit the original post to give an update to the rules, if there are things that are unclarified or could use further clarification then go ahead and post what you think the updated rules should be, we can make a wiki.

Okay, so there is no significant changes to the rules. The game is already going perfect but for clarification; the game implies that:
Your post has to include one of those words (no matter before or after) and add another one on. That is to say, the next phrase you post should contain 2 words only.

There's a separate thread for that!

      What is a "neighbor hood"?

          You seem to imply that both the Queen's English and American English are allowed. ;)
