We'll know soon enough when someone tries.
I suppose there is a chance that because it has 2 years free that they'll say it doesn't qualify for the 75K which is just 1 year free.

True, didnt think of that.
Hopefully if they wont budge maybe they will allow me to switch it to the 1 year free 75K offer...

I think everyone that has done the 15K/25K deals with first year free has been able to get the 75K if they try enough.

Nobody has reported anything yet with the 50K/2 years free app so it's too early to know.

So what I am thinking is as follows, tell me if I am crazy,
I applied for 25k gold about 2 1/2 mths ago- got it to 75k- now I will apply for a 2nd one for 50k, is that crazy or I have a chance?

I tried getting the 2 years matches, the CS guy said it's a no-go and I could cancel and apply again. When I suggested they might deny me he suggested applying again before closing my card (almost a churn endorsement there...), do you guys think I should push my luck with three Amex approvals in the past two months or so?

they will match a second time... thats been done. the only question is if they'll match on the 50k 2 year no annual fee card

I just got the gold card. I still didn't try to upgrade to the 75000 points. But after i saw this post, I figured i'll first try this one. They gave me the 50,000, but not the second year free, I was transfered to ton's of people but nobody was to help.
Today I tried at least to get the 75,000. But they told me that since i asked to match 1 offer they won't match any offers anymore.
now I'm left kerach mkan umkan.

Any advise?

50k for a gold is not bad. You can always try again, see if you'll get a different answer...

I had the 25k MR Gold amex last year and cancelled about 2 months ago before all the inquiries for the higher bonuses started flying! So, it appears, I can go for this again and get 50k for 2 yrs free while I still have the Amex Platinum (since Feb 2011), Starwood Amex (since August 2010) and regular Hilton Amex (since 2001!). So, it appears you guys saying that going for it again so soon should be no problem?

There is buzz about a new mega credit card bonus offer coming soon, most likely from Chase...so I am wondering maybe hold off to apply for that one and then try this offer? Any expiration date on this offer (50k MR w/ 2 yrs free)?
