Welcome to the forums. If it's a Premier Rewards Gold card, try code 5894 for 75k.

Applied, got the premier rewards card, not immediate approval--but came within a week. However, MR says the 5889 bonus ID is not in the file, and will only get 10k with first purchase. They did ask about Columbia (by the way is it Columbia Univ in NYC? or Columbia College in MO, SC, Chicago?).

They also say that 5889 ended on May 11th. In that scenario if denied after calling, would bonus 5894 work? What are the effective dates of 5894?

Anyone with experience?

called them, tried using promo 5894...no luck. All I'm getting is 10,000 points after the 1st purchase, even though the online link was for the premier card, 50,000 points and 2 yrs fee waived after spending 500 in 3 months. When I spoke to membership rewards they kept asking where i got the link. I said off the internet, they told me the 50000 points was by invite only. Very annoying since there really was no way to know that when using the link. Would appreciate if anyone has any ideas how I can get them to give me the original deal .. ie 50000 points, thanks

I can definitely confirm that the 50K 2 year free app for the Gold card that i applied to had Bonus ID 5889
Check the file you uploaded carefully and you will see that bonus ID 4880 is for some other promo for pay with points;

"5 To use Membership Rewards® Pay with Points, you must charge travel with an enrolled Card at American Express Travel. Points will be
debited from your program account and a credit for the corresponding dollar amount will be issued to the Card account you used. If the points
redeemed do not cover the entire amount of the charge, the balance of the purchase price will remain on the Card account. Minimum

As Mikeorade says, 5889 is correct if you read the T&C of the screen shot provided to us in the link that is in zip format. Unzipped it is a pdf.

But someone please comment on ID 5894. Valid? 75k bonus? When are the applicable dates?

I stand corrected, didnt do the Gold one myself... just had the screenshot and read it quickly when I posted it.

I wish I could go correct those posts for people, but I its too late for me to modify... maybe I need a mod to help me edit them....

MR told me the current offer for 75k is ID 5895. hope this is helpful.

Amex refused to honor the Columbia grad deal so instead I got them to change to bonus ID 5894 and they deposited 65K points into my account.
This was done via SM

They told me $500, but that was my PR gold offer (5894).

They said the promo I signed up for was 10K after first purchase, since I already met the requirement she deposited the 65K into my account.
Its interesting that they said that I signed up via the refer a friend promo $:-\$

I had already spent a few thousand so I dont know what the minimum necessary would have been.
