Hey gonna be traveling to vilinus next Thursday-Sunday night just wondered if anyone had info.
1)is there kosher food?
2)place for Shabbat?
3)tour guide recommendation?
4)kivrei tzadikim/ Jewish stuff near vilinus that doesn't require a visa?
Has anyone been there that can share some info?
1- yes. in vilnius there is chabad, plus a bagel shop (weird hours) with the chabad hechsher. in kaunas there is the jewish club run by rabbi moshe sheinfeld, its open during semesters, so find out before.
2- never been there for shabbos, but im sure the local chabad would help u with that.
3- great tour guide name is niki, speaks a good hebrew, passable english. 0037061659464
4- vilna has tons of stuff, kaunas has its share too. depending on youre type u can spend weeks touring random shuls, cemeteries, and archives in lithuania
