What did you say in your followup?
That it's a public offer not targeted and good customer...

My weird experience:
Applied CS MC, got a rejection letter saying that I already have a CS VISA (I closed it months ago).
I called recon, rep said he can approve by reallocating credit, and he starts suggesting some cards "which I haven't used in a while" to reduce, first he mentions a card which was actually my wife's account, he apologized and he mentions another card which turns out to be my father-in-law's account, he apologizes again, by now he is a bit frustrated that he is sounding like a real idiot, so he says, "Sir, I have recommended this account for immediate approval, you can expect it in 3-5 days".

Try to get them to post the points after $2000 and then continue spending.

Why does it make a difference when they post the points, why should I stop all spending on the card and wait for the points to post first??

Are these cards somehow associated with the same Chase login? Same address on all the accounts?

Think there will still be a double dip, or they are now able to change the offer on the card?
