Do you know what double dipping is? People have been double dipping for the longest time. It works just about any time a csr manually credits your account for (bonus) points that you are owed.

If so; Being that the offer only came out a few days ago, and no one had actually SM'd to get matched, and then received the double dip. I was under the impression the it was Dan's link that was new, but there was a publicly available offer for 2K spend.
Huh?
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

For those that don't read the main site, the 2K link scheduled to die at 3pm.
It will revert to the 3K threshold later today.
I went into a chase branch yesterday in NY and they just got the printed info and flyers of the new $2K spend. I was inquiring about the MC because i now have the Visa. Their $2K is also for the Visa. Why would they get the flyers and now pull it from you?
If I applied through your site now for the Visa can I call recon and ask them to switch to the MC and still get the signup bonus? They will deny me for the visa since I have that card now. I'd be willing to close it with recon and move the cl to the new card.

If so I am very impressed at how quickly multiple people realized the possibility of double dipping. A couple of days ago there were a few posts with the idea.

It's best for us when less people realize, at least the bloggers weren't explicit about it.

i tried figuring this out, sorry bit confused, bec when ppl write things and are wrong its a bit confusing,

double dipping in terms of cc is when i signed up for the 3k and i emailed them when there new offer comes out, they ok the new offer of 2k give me the 40k and then hit 3k thereafter and get another 40k?
If you have any questions please search and then ask. PM me for detailed help.

Probably not so smart to write this in a public forum. I'm sure they won't appreciate it when they see it.

Correct.  But its not definite.  Its YMMV.

there is nothing wrong with what they do, they are working for the costumers, and they never go agaiant the law, all i mean is that whenever i needed something done they were able to help with a smile, but sure i understand thanks for the heads up

Good luck.  I had the visa and they refused to convert it to mc because I had it for less than a year.  They wouldn't let me open a mc because I  already have a visa and they said you can't have both.  I know some people do but I huca'd and huca'd and huca'd and no one let me have both.  In the end I closed the visa and just got the mc.  I applied today for a visa and was denied due to having the mc.  The rep told me even if I close I will have to wait 6 months to start again. Back to huca

bingo!  got a sympathetic rep.  closed out the mc and opened up a visa.
I hope I will remain happy that I chapped the 2k spending threshhold.  who knows what tomorrow will bring

Are these cards somehow associated with the same Chase login? Same address on all the accounts?
Same mailing address.

From chase.com
So how does canceling and reapplying help for this or for other cards like SPG etc..?
we rely on peoples experiences, not on t&c's. It might help to read the forums instead of asking a million q's.
