Well, I spent 2000, and just before the 90/93 were up, I sent the first SM.

So you sent the SM before 90 days and only got the 40K credited after the 90? Sounds like they purposely wanted to avoid the DD. Or am I paranoid?

I get this all the time. Just keep trying.

Finally got through to them, and they answered me that they won't be able to match it. Sent them back a message with more detail and to ask for a supervisor, will see what happens.

When doing Sapphire shuffle any reason to wait after it's converted from visa to wmc? Does it look bad to rep if they see you still have the visa AND wmc capabilities for 60 days after conversion, and you are asking now to have both?

chase sapphire preferred annual fee
« Reply #1785 on: December 05, 2012, 09:40:27 PM »
i remember reading on other threads that some have been able to keep their sapphire preferred card without downgrading in order to wave the annual fee. I just tried to do so and the customer service rep said they 'never' do such a thing. Any advice? I like the benefits that I get such as extended warranties on laptops, extra 90 day returns etc i am sure there are many more perks that you cc savy ones utilize...i am a novice in regards to cc so any and all advice is appreciated!

Just read through this entire thread... What i don't get is why all the switching from Visa to MC? Why can't it be done the good old way of closing, waiting, then reopening? Why is the Sapphire Preferred different than, say, the United Explorer? Can some please explain.
