You don't get points for the actual conversion, which as I understand it is what OP was asking (and what mmermss was answering).

You can resign up and get the bonus again.

Oh. Ok. Gotcha.  So i guess i was right but misunderstood :-)

Also that means if i converted my visa to WMC 6 months ago can i sign up for a new visa and get the points?

Why not convert to MC and apply for Visa? Worst case they will close the MC and transfer the CL in exchange for opening the Visa.

I just don't get the whole point of going through the conversion process. I have enough leverage from other cards to push through any up-and-coming Sapphire Preferred Visa app (i will obviously shift credit lines before closing). So why go through all the trouble? What's the benefit? Why is this card different from all others? I just don't get it.

Because you can't have 2 SP visas at the same time AFAIK? How are you going to "push through the new visa app" without a) closing the first or b) converting existing and trying to have 2 SP?

Because theres more of a chance of them approving a card when you offer to close an existing card rather then offer to transfer CL.  Of course if they deny first try to transfer CL and if they still deny only then close a card.  Anways regarding having two SP open now...it would very hard for them to approve that now.

3. Can you approve my app because (rebuttals to previous rejections)
4. Can you please approve my app by transferring $____ in credit from my existing _____ card? There'll be no additional exposure to Chase.
5. Can you please approve my app by closing my existing _____ card? I prefer the new card because [specify card benefits here] (don't say you're doing it for the signup bonus, duh! )...

As someone who never had a problem getting a Chase card approved (i always have credit lines to shift and cards to close), is there still any benefit of going the conversion route?

I had a Sapphire visa and changed it to a master will i get the bonus again?

Based on my reading of this thread you will not get the bonus for merely changing from Visa to MC. Though, now you can reapply for the Visa and get the bonus.

I have received the envelope depicted below inside this envelope, just noticed it.
Interesting indeed; As if I'm gonna save it all the way until my card gets cancelled 
Also, by now I keep them on a stack on my desk (only SP, I have like 15), playing with it has proven to be a great stress reliever
