Umm...what does that have to do with the SP Visa?  ???

Meaning that a card that Dan dose not have, dose not mean its not out there, and good.

Of course.  But theres not much of a difference between the SP Visa and the SPWMC besides for the rental insurance.  So if the rental insurance doesnt make a difference to you I am letting you know  that Dan has the Visa link but no the MC.

You could just transfer the Visa to MC.

I got charged the $95 yearly fee, today is the last day to pay without being late. If I pay my bill, can I still change my card to a Freedom and get the $95 refunded?

You have 30 or 60 days from when the fee was charged regardless of if you pay.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Closing Saphire Card
« Reply #1950 on: March 20, 2013, 11:51:08 AM »
I plan on closing my Chase Saphire card (still have a United Explorer and Hyatt Platinum with Chase) and was wondering whether I need to first transfer out my Ultimate Rewards points and if so, where is the best place to transfer them?  I fly United most often, but also could benefit from BA miles and flying on American.

Any help from the pro's would be appreciated.

You need to transfer them out or else you will lose them.

United are the most valuable points to transfer to especially if you fly UA a lot.

Any specific reason your closing it? Why not apply for the other one (V/MC) and call recon to have them switch the cards and get the bonus. Or see if you can convert it to a fee free sapphire until you open a card that can move the points to airlines.

If he applies for the other SP he still will lose his UR because thy shut down the existing one to approve the new one. And you don't need a airline card to transfer points to an airline.

You have 30 or 60 days from when the fee was charged regardless of if you pay.
From Chase's SM:
Let me inform you that if the annual fee of $95.00 was
billed to your account within 60 days of the date the
account is charged to another product, a refund of the fee
will automatically post to your account within one to two
billing cycles.

Is that a typo of "changed"?
