Hi everyone,

My husband and I both recently met the minimums on our Sapphire Preferred Visas, and the statements closed on both. The miles accrued during the month posted to our accounts but the bonus miles haven't. I know it could take up to 8 weeks for them to post, but we were relying on the miles to book tickets to Italy for mid-July. Should I send a SM to chase to ask if they would post the miles early or would they not like that?

I also have a united mileage explorer that I just met the minimum for and got matched for the 65k bonus offer. The $50 credit posted to my account but none of the miles have, so same story. (BTW does anyone know if the $50 credit counts against the 1k spending?)

Thoughts?
A lot of times if you meet the spending a week before the closing date, the points post on the next billing cycle.

Thanks. I'm pretty sure at least one of the cards was met in advance, but that's something to consider.

If I contacted them to see if the would be willing to post the points early would it be better to call or to send a SM?

Who said converting a Visa to a MC will reverse the AF? Downgrading to a non-preferred Sapphire, or any other fee-free card, will.

Dan
You sure? Where?
Dan says to do it to get the sign-up again by using the MC leverage to push through another Visa. I don't recall him saying it will reverse the AF. CMIIW.

You're wrong  :)

Said it many times and I know it works.
It's not about the quantity of your posts.  It's about the quality.

Then i stand corrected. Now, that being the case, please help Mr. metziah with his dilemma.

Also do you get the 40k bonus again? I am a little confused about this.

No, not when converting. Only for a new app.

You only get a sign-up bonus, when you sign-up for a card - never for conversions.

Can take a while, probably a few weeks or even a month.
YMMV of course.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

I liked it when I l lucked out on one call last week (first call) that got a my business apps (brand new with Chase credit) approved in 1-2-3 after she offered to transfer credit to approve one of the cards and told me that if I paid the annual fee already on the old card, I can get a refund. I should have done a third card while on the phone and approve that one too...
