Not sure what you mean by that... the 7% due to you since the last time you got a 7% bonus (or since you opened the card if you never got the bonus) will be forfeited.
You receive the 7% dividend every February.

I am considering closing my SP MC and to open a SP Visa. I just want to bounce my situation off everyone for their input.

- Opened SP Visa in November 2011 and got the points

- Converted to MC in 2012 by mistake. No points :(

- May 2013 - Opened two chase cards

It has been 30 days since my last Chase apps, so I was going to apply for a SP Visa and talk them into closing the SP MC to open it. So I apply, and I am sure I will be declined/pending, so I should call the credit analyst to hopefully push it through.

Thanks

Quick Sapphire question I hope:

I downgraded my SP Visa to regular Sapphire Visa approx 8 months ago.  Is it possible to reapply for the SP w bonus? or do I need to close the card and move the CL before doing so?

Also is the WMC still available for the SP?

Thanks!

I can see both versions in my online Chase profile. Was your visa marked as closed online? And the refund posted to both accounts like all other transactions?

Well actually I had transferred my spv to a spwmc and after a about two weeks I downgraded to a freedom.all the while I did have to online profiles. Two weeks after that it posted as a refund to both.

Not to nag, but does anyone have experience with getting the SP bonus twice and if so would this scenario work? I would hate to burn an app on an "upgrade" and not get a bonus.

Thanks!

I currently have a SPWMC and am trying to get a SPV. I applied and got a pending decision. I called in yesterday and was declined for the close and reopen due to too many cards (Apporama in May). I called again this morning and the rep said he would have to close my current SPWMC and to try to get the SPV, however, it was not guaranteed I would get approval, so I could lose that line for nothing. Does this sound familiar to anyone's experience? I asked him to put a note in my file and I would call back. Maybe I should just try SMing.

Thanks

You don't apply for a card one month after an AOR.

Huca.
U should never have to close a line of credit unless u are shifting it over.
While shifting over credit is not as exciting as an approval, it's a  guaranteed approval on the other card.
