sent a SM about being matched to 5k for an AU:

Dear *********l,

Thank you for contacting us concerning the rewards bonus
points on your Chase Sapphire Preferred account.

I would like to inform you that the 5,000 bonus points
offer for adding an Authorized User is applicable on
accounts that are opened on or after 11/18/2013. As your
account was opened prior to this date, I regret that we
are unable to match the offer on your account.

HUSMA
I remember when a coke was a nickel, and you could buy VRs in OD.

HUSMA
+1

I am happy that I recently received the following in my SM inbox (from an earlier unrelated request):
"... we will be happy to honor a new offer for up to ninety days after your account was opened, if you provide us with a copy of the new offer".

IMO, not necessary.  By definition, after the reply is received, one is already "hu".

I wonder if anyone has HUCA'd without hanging up. A simultaneous recon.

Good point.   But (and this is completely semantics), on the phone, when you receive your "no", you are still on the phone.  In order to "CA", you must first "HU".  Not so with SM.

I called to be matched. Rep knew what the 50k offer was and the $125 fee and the 5k for AU, but said she would have to send the info to the marketing (?) team and they would mail me a response in 7-10 days.

Ummm when did this happen? That the Sapphire Preferred Card now has the Chip for international?

Uh oh. She did mention that they might have to review if there would be a need for a new app since it's a new premium on the card. Hoping they lay out my options before just going ahead with a pull.

Have you seen someone get a pull for this?

How recently? It's been said that you should wait a few months.

Though people have done it a lot sooner.

Depends how nice they are and if you can give them a good reason to approve it.

Called CSP to check on this and rep mentioned that there won't be any pull for marketing review and also mentioned that it may take 2 or 3 business days since there seems to pile up of these reequests!
