Seems like a good option or you can downgrade to the non-preferred version.
IMHO the Freedom is a better card because of the 5%

Good point to ponder; however, I will probably apply for the Chase Freedom in my next set of app's which should be in a few months.

Should I transfer my points from my Chase Saphire CC into my Ink Bold Biz account before downgrading or I can even do it afterwards?

As long as you have one of the "higher" cards, you can transfer at any time.

You can have a Sapphire downgraded to Freedom as well as an additional Freedom.  In that case you'll have two Freedoms eligible for the 5% categories.

If you downgrade a sapphire to freedom and already have an existing freedom, do you manage both freedom cc's under the same online user account?

You can have many. you just need to convince recon that you need the same product again.

Or if you have a Sapphire Preferred > 12 months, you can downgrade to Freedom and then apply for a new Sapphire Preferred.

I have an Ink Bold account, is there anyway I can transfer points from the Freedom account to the Bold account ?
I though I could but when I log into UR from my Bold account there is no option on top to combine points.

Also when I transferred points from my Ink Plus to my Ink Bold account there was an option to send the points to "other" account but not to get them from an "other" account.
the accounts are either in my or my wifes name
