Certain stores may only accept one. Potentially a little easier to get the card again if you had one and said you needed the other.
I got "caught" in that with my Sapphire card. I also tried calling to switch one of my Ink cards and they said they couldn't do it, but it would happen automatically at some point. Not sure how true that is.
Got told same thing by rep "We are in the process of swithing all are cards from Mastercard to Visa"

Can someone change the title of the thread to Chase SapphirePreferred Visa? It sounds like it's for the regular sapphire card.
Does SP cover baggage insurance if the ticket was booked with miles and only the taxes/fees were paid with the cc?
What's the smallest credit line you can have when getting approved CSP? $5,000?I'm asking to figure out if I have to shift credit around to open it.
If you wanna go fast, go aloneIf you wanna go far, go together
The minimum CL to be approved on a Visa Signature Card is $5000. However, after the account is open they may allow you to reduce the CL below 5k. My wife has a United Visa Signature with a CL around 2k (don't remember exact number)
I believe the united card is unique with this ability (CMIIW).
I'm assuming the 5k signature rule is exclusive to chase, correct?Because I've got a 3k aa which is a signature, and a forward 7k which isn't. Go figure.
Visa and MasterCard have since loosened their standards for Visa Signature and World MasterCard. It used to be that each required a $5K minimum credit line but now it seems to be up to the issuing bank. I know that BofA requires $5K for both and at least initially, Chase does as well. Citibank has been issuing $1K+ limits on World MasterCards for years. The best way to find out about the Amazon card is to call Chase and ask. They should have already sent a new card sans the Signature logo along with an updated Platium benefits pamphlet to replace the Signature pamphlet that came with the card if they actually downgraded the account. It is likely that they will just keep it as a Signature. Keeping your account at signature is good for them as they earn a higher swipe fee with the Signature card. Signature and World don't really mean anything anymore. They have been watered down. MasterCard has World Elite and we are still waiting for Visa to introduce something higher than Signature.
Any card can be brought down to $500 once you have it.
