Product change to a freedom.
Excuse my ignorance, but does a product change from CSP to Freedom retain CL & history?

As far as travel protections go, does the CSP cover everything as long as any portion of the flight is booked on the card? Evn if I use airline gift cards for 95% of the flight and the CSP for the last 5%?

If I downgrade a SP to Freedom after 60 days from the AF, is the AF prorated?
I know this question was discussed back in 2016, but there are conflicting answers. Also how long does it have to stay a CSP to keep the bonus points.

are self referrals (i.e. sole prop to another business name X or to personal/consumer card or vice versus) allowed by chase?

Similar question if I may piggyback. Wife has a sapphire (no fee), can I convert it to sapphire preferred and refer myself from her account for the 15k points?

@Dan Do Bonus points disappear if you downgrade a card before 12 months? Does it create a “red flag”? In other words is there any problem with opening a card hitting the bonus then downgrading, thereby avoiding 3/4 of the annual fee? Thank you!

One of the rules for downgrading a Chase card is that your card must be open for at least 12 months before being able to do a product change.
So your idea of closing the card before the AF will unfortunately not work:(

Thanks. What about closing after transferring the points, would that make a red flag?
