He said Citi not Chase, so no go I think
Good call, I didn't notice that.
Ya it was for the Citi AA. They tried denying me the card and CSR rep said it cant be overridden. I got it overridden.
Comparing Citi to Chase is like comparing apples to oranges, but you're correct, CSRs often lie when they say something isn't possible.
Based on his experience you might be screwed. They shut him down hard
Has anyone recently requested the additional 50k? When I sm'd they told me to send a message once I meet the 3k spend and they would give me the original 50k plus an additional 50k because they valued every relationship but based on stsd's post http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/milesbuzz/1215268-extra-50k-expired-chase-sapphire-preferred-card-50k-points-76.html it looks like they are going back on their word? I'm about to hit the 3k mark and his post has me a little worried even though they already said they would give it to me.
Will Sapphire points be more valuable after Sept because they will be the only points that can be used with Continental? I think Dan said that somewhere.
Dan is the man. Just logged in to my chase sapphire account and my 100,000 points are there. Received the first 50k right after sending the sm and just received the next 50k after spending 3k and statement closed.
You sent a sm requesting the points?
I don't think I would worry about. They honored it for me, and from what I've read, I think even if a low-level CSR denied it, if you go up to supervisors, they will honor it as promised.
I tried them too. Chase lately is giving me atitude, they are refusing to shift a credit line over and when i ask they give me this whole 7 minute interrogation questions including "why do you have so many cards" "why do you need another one" etc;. i opened 2 chase cards recently 1 in march and 1 in may.
