Because if he's a joint account holder he can't get the same card for himself, unless the card is closed first.
I do not believe that is true. Either way, why couldn't you just knock him off the account and why did you need to close your card?

Which part wouldn't be true?
If someone ia a joint account holder (not a AU) they cannot receive the card by themselves because they are considered a current card holder.
You can't remove a joint account holder from your account the only option is to close the card.

Because they did not let my Son open another card until the card was closed. I tried very hard to keep my original card and Chase did not let, becuase it was a Joint.

That is exactly what happened

I signed up for the csp and I was denied. I have excellent credit and I have my business account through Chase. I called CS they said I was denied because I have opened 9 cards in the last 2 yrs. 9 total incl. amex. They said they have changed their policies and there is no way to get them to consider. Any advice? would huca work in this situation?

It's the newest problem.
Afaik Huca probably won't work.
You can try a letter from your banker.

Have they officially changed anything or just changing it on the fly?

Is the 5/24 in the algorithm to reject apps automatically,  or just for recon? Anyone get auto-approved with more than 5/24?
