My feb. statement closed already but no bonus

I think it takes a few days, keep an eye out for the online statement (PDF) where you can see if there are any dividend points.

My assumption right now is that because I was downgraded to sapphire while I converted to MCW I lost out on the bonus. So if anybody else who was downgraded can chime in I'd appreciate the info

:(

If it wasn't on your January statement either (ostensibly it wasn't), then you should call and ask, hopefully you'll get some courtesy points as well.

I just received my 7% bonus of 4,768 miles! thankfully without a 1099, thank you Dan! I am looking forward on going to Israel business class with my chase continental miles, accrued from three great signup bonus offers!

How to churn Sapphire Preferred?
« Reply #1133 on: February 21, 2012, 12:43:49 PM »
I have a Sapphire Preferred that is still active, but I want to churn the 50k bonus which Dan said he's done a couple of times already.

What's the best strategy to do this?

1. Close card, wait 30 days and then reapply
2. Apply with other Saph Pref still open and try and get recon to move the credit line over to new card and close old card

Can anyone who has churned it share what they did?

Convert your SP Visa to a SP MC and apply again for a SP Visa.

Would converting down to a World MC plain Sapphire help my case if I had to argue about being approved for a new Visa Saph Pref?

Should work IMHO, but I have no experience.

Whatever you do just keep in mind that there is a "slight" chance that churning (and other kinds of so called system-abuse) can trigger a red flag which "can sometimes" result in an entire accounts closure...

Not trying to scare you but it's definitely good to be prepared
