If I close my Chase sapphire what will happen to the points? I just got a CSP. Should I transfer them (I'm going to close the card in a year because of the annual fee)?  TIA
You're closing your CSR but still have a CSP?

no. I thought this was just the sapphire card thread. I'm closing the Chase card that downgrades from the CSP

i think this is what he is trying to say
he is closing his sapphire.
he has the csp which he will be closing in a year when the annual fee is due.
and is asking if the points are seperate for each card, or they are all bunched together, which means when he cancels one he will still have all, or does he manually have to transfer
now why would u close a free card?

They're not all bunched together.

yes.I Won't spend on it so I dont want it to bring my credit score down. I just want to know what will happen to the points I have with it. Should I transfer them?

If he's gonna close a UR card then he should move the points first.

Why do you think that having a card that you're not spending on will bring your score down? If anything it'll boat your score and hurt it to close the card. If I'm understanding you correctly, you're keeping a UR card open at least for another year in which case you should transfer all your points to that card.

I applied today for the Sapphire and got declined because I already used a Sapphire in the past 24 months. After being on the phone they said that I have Chase Freedom card and it's a Sapphire product.
Is it something new? Anything to do about it?

I am going to downgrade my CSP to Freedom unlimited since the annual fee just hit. I have a 10K referral bonus due to post next statement. Will I loose it if I downgrade the card?

If it's already pending you should be fine. (I would say probably even if it isn't pending yet but for sure if it is)

i find this on DDMS
"Chase may even enforce this by not allowing you to be approved for any Sapphire card if you’ve received a bonus on any Sapphire card in the past 24 months, but that’s not clear at this point".

have this ever been confirmed?

to explain: i had the sapphire reserve a year ago but i downgraded it to the freedom right now i dont have any sapphire and i never had before the sapphire prefered,

will i be able to get approved and get the signup bonus for the sapphire prefered? or since i had the reserve and got the bonus on it i wont get the bonus until 24 months for the sapphire prefered as well?

The 2 things are unrelated.
A. You aren't eligible for a bonus since you got one within 24 months.
B. What you quoted is that if you aren't eligible for the bonus Chase won't approve you either.
