@Dan I applyed today for the chase sapphire preferred, I got a email saying they will review my information and send in the mail within 30 days I called the automatic system they said it’s pending and that will let me know with 7 to 10 days.  Dan what’s my next step? (I don’t have any cards with chase but I do have discover,Amex, capital one,Boa)
Welcome to DDF!
Can only Dan answer that?
The 7-10 days reply from the AS indicates that's your application has been declined. You can wait for the letter of denial to arrive within 7-10 Business days, or don't delay and call recon now.

Being that it's a 99% certain denial (I know of one such story otherwise) I wouldn't hesitate to call recon. Be ready for some tough questions :)
Or you can go through this thread first, where it's discussed.

It means it's a denial.
Although it can be just pending verification. They will usually tell you that when you call recon and you can get on with reprocessing the application.

You're right, so that kind of makes him the last person to ask about denials.

You won’t get a bonus on any sapphire card within 24 months of receiving a bonus on any sapphire.

Hi all, took a little break from churning but reserve posted annual fee on june 1 (i tink i've got 30 days to decide) and looking for my options.
don't want to lose the ability of transferring to travel partners but dont want an annual fee if avoidable. would love to give the sp a shot again but  closed my sp and reg sapphire to open the reserve last year. heard their being really strict now but has anyone had success getting a bonus 12 months later or is it a waste of a pull?
