i find this on DDMS
"Chase may even enforce this by not allowing you to be approved for any Sapphire card if youíve received a bonus on any Sapphire card in the past 24 months, but thatís not clear at this point".

have this ever been confirmed?

to explain: i had the sapphire reserve a year ago but i downgraded it to the freedom right now i dont have any sapphire and i never had before the sapphire prefered,

will i be able to get approved and get the signup bonus for the sapphire prefered? or since i had the reserve and got the bonus on it i wont get the bonus until 24 months for the sapphire prefered as well?

The 2 things are unrelated.
A. You aren't eligible for a bonus since you got one within 24 months.
B. What you quoted is that if you aren't eligible for the bonus Chase won't approve you either.

Welcome to DDF!
Can only Dan answer that?
The 7-10 days reply from the AS indicates that's your application has been declined. You can wait for the letter of denial to arrive within 7-10 Business days, or don't delay and call recon now.

Being that it's a 99% certain denial (I know of one such story otherwise) I wouldn't hesitate to call recon. Be ready for some tough questions :)
Or you can go through this thread first, where it's discussed.

It means it's a denial.
Although it can be just pending verification. They will usually tell you that when you call recon and you can get on with reprocessing the application.

Dan has never gotten a denial
You're right, so that kind of makes him the last person to ask about denials.

You wonít get a bonus on any sapphire card within 24 months of receiving a bonus on any sapphire.
