I dont think so, the official offer for the freedom is 10k points and its the norm for a long time to get 20k-30k for that.

Shows 40k for me when I check Chase's website, and only 10k for normal Sapphire.

Might be discussed, but on mastercard.us, there is a Sapphire preferred with a 50K signup bonus.
Does this mean that we can apply for that signup straight to a Master card?

Yes, but why not support DDF by using the DDF link then you can get it switched to WMC.

It seems like they need to switch you to the non-preferred MC and then upgrade you, which means getting bonus miles as a courtesy.

When you apply over the phone they still offer you 50k, they say they have different offers than on the official website.
