I have same story 2bm sapphire preffered and freedom, got response for 2 weeks and 7-10 days, will call.

they told me that the freedom is being reviewed and the sapphire preferred is declined due to to many credit requests, which must mean this 2bm because other chase card is over a year old. What is next step? I have 14k on my CO card

ok so it all worked out I got on the freedom 5500 and pushed throught the sapphire at 5k. Not to shabby due to the fact that I did not have to shift over credit from the co card. Took 2 calls on sapphire one to each dept. Freedom got approved without a call.

Called recon and I guess my orig SP visa didnt convert to WMC (did it this past Friday) , bec when I called to check on my "new" SP visa application, CS said it was denied bec I already have a SP Visa. Should I just wait till i get the converted SP WMC in the mail first, so it's official and then I can switch it back to SP Visa?

try to use your current sp as leverage to get the new one approved, if you cancel first you will not have this leverage

not sure you read this right, i now have both my orig SPV open AS WELL AS the SPWMC opened, however the CS via SM said no can do on the 50k bonus for the SPWMC  since I already got it for the SPV. Any ideas?

Was the original SP visa converted to the SP WMC? If that's the case then no you won't get the 50k.

how can i determine that? right now i have two active cards, the visa and the master, so i'm thinking that it was NOT converted, just another card was added.

Did you ask to have the visa converted to a MC? If yes then that's what happened. I'm not sure what you mean by still active, is it still usable or just still showing up online? IME it was showing up online as a mirror account (meaning every transaction done on the new card was reflected on the old as well) however it was not usable.
The point of converting is not to get the 50k on the converted card it's just to allow another visa app to go through.

You can call and ask them whether the visa is still active or not.

I would say call them first to see if it's really active, it most likely isn't.

ok, cancelled the orig SPV, tomorrow I will chase recon and see if they can now push thru my "new" SPV application which got declined bec as of last week I already had a SPV card!

Make sure you have a good argument for needing the new one.
