Question, if you have a Chase Saphire Mastercard, can you apply for a Chase Saphire Visa?

Sure, but chances are you'll have to then close down the MC to get the Visa approved.

If you do end up shutting down the MC for the Visa will there be any problems getting the 40k bonus?
Also, what is the best thing to tell reconsideration when trying to get the visa when you already have the MC?

thanks

Any reason not to downgrade sapphire thru sm? All I ask is to downgrade and refund the annual fee? Im assuming there is no credit pull involved.

I didn't mean to come across as harsh. I was trying to decipher whether there are any parameters you're leaving out.

After sm'ing to downgrade I was told the refund of the annual fee takes 1 or 2 billing cycles. Is that normal?

I just close a United Explorer and my SP VISA because of the associated 95$ fees. I transferred all my existing sapphire points over to my Freedom. Now that I only have a Freedom left with Chase, which cards should I apply for using a 2bm/3bm and will I get the bonus again for the SP? Thanks

Do I need to wait to reapply for an SP if I just shut it down and transferred the credit line today or can I do a 3BM now with a Chase Hyatt and Chase Marriott?

No need to wait.

If I downgrade the Sapphire Preferred to regular Sapphire Visa, will I still be able to transfer points from Freedom to Sapphire to airlines?

Open the bold or plus now and you can transfer.

Hi all, longtime lurker. Hoping someone can help me with my upcoming AOR! My last Chase app was 1/2013 for 2xSouthwest (1 biz 1 pers). I am thinking of trying to include 3 Chase cards in an AOR next week. Can I get Ink Bold, Ink Plus, and Sapphire in a 3bm? Some of the chatter about the different Sapphires has confused me (shuffle? visa/mc?)

For what it's worth, I will likely combine this with a 2bm for Barclay's. If anyone has suggestions on AMEX or Citi additions, I am all ears (currently have only a couple open Citi's from a while back, and AMEX PRG, Biz Gold and SPG personal)

Thanks! BH

Hi everyone,

My husband and I both recently met the minimums on our Sapphire Preferred Visas, and the statements closed on both. The miles accrued during the month posted to our accounts but the bonus miles haven't. I know it could take up to 8 weeks for them to post, but we were relying on the miles to book tickets to Italy for mid-July. Should I send a SM to chase to ask if they would post the miles early or would they not like that?

I also have a united mileage explorer that I just met the minimum for and got matched for the 65k bonus offer. The $50 credit posted to my account but none of the miles have, so same story. (BTW does anyone know if the $50 credit counts against the 1k spending?)

Thoughts?
