Your "options to do" once you meet the threshold are, for all intents and purposes, infinite. You are free to eat lunch, if that's what time of day it is. Or you can go fishing, if you are in the mood. Really whatever you feel like doing is fine.

Haha thanks George, your humor is fantastic.

I was looking to have someone knowledgeable to sum it up in one post. After all I come onto this forum as well as others to learn.

From what I know I can:

1) Downgrade the Sapphire to a Freedom card, get 10k UR points and then sign up for another SP card in a little while.
2) Sign up for the Sapphire regular, consolidate the SP onto the Sapphire regular and get 10k UR points for that card.
3) Merge both options 1 and 2, by signing up for both the Sapphire reg and the Freedom and CL the SP onto either.

Any other options I am missing on what I can do with the SP once I meet the threshold?

1) -1.  When you downgrade from SP to Freedom you do not earn 10k UR. However, the rest of the line is true.
2),3) Not understanding.

Basically you can downgrade the SP to either a Freedom or regular sapphire and apply for new SP and offer to transfer CL when calling recon (if not approved right away).

Other option is to convert the SP into a MC (if it isnt already) and apply for the SP Visa and during recon transfer all CL from SPMC to SP Visa to open new Visa.
It's not about the quantity of your posts.  It's about the quality.

First off thanks for the information, I had not known previously that when you downgrade you don't get the bonus.

Option 2,3 for me was to sign up for either the freedom or the sapphire reg so that I can get the 10k UR signup bonus and then CL the SP onto either of those cards and resign up for the SP again later.

As for your statement of converting the SP Visa to a MC, signing up for another SP Visa and having them CL the SP MC onto the new SP Visa. I have to say I did not know about that, very interesting, a nice little loop there and a great option. Thanks.

My card was put on hold this past Friday due to fraud suspicion (i was traveling out of state) and was not able to get someone to clear the hold from the card (needed a senior specialist which they could not transfer me to). As this was the first Friday of the month and had the additional bonus for spending on restaurants which i missed out on, i called to see if they could do anything for me or give me the onus rate for the spending on my Freedom. They kept saying they were sorry and that next month on August 2nd i could get the bonus again. I SM'ed last night and got a response this morning that they are giving me 2,500 UR points.
Moral is, can't hurt to HUCA or SM or see how they can help you if something went wrong.

Depends if you want to fly somewhere, stay somewhere... Many options depending on what you want to do.

Do you have a Freedom card, or plan on getting one soon? If yes, the Freedom can "store" your UR points.

I had SP WMC, Applied for SP Visa, called recon and they closed my WMC and gave me the Visa. Will I get the bonus? Did I screw it up?

As long as you closed down your card you should be fine.

If they converted so you will not get the points.

My old/closed WMC account is still on my online profile, and my new card is listed separately. I assume this means it's closed not converted?

It doesn't mean anything.

Check if you have the same transaction posted on both cards if you have so its converter,

And if you don't so you will get the point.

If you downgrade to a Freedom you won't lose your points and can hold on to them until you need them. Once you want to transfer them though you will have to either have an SP open again or transfer your points to someone who does who can then transfer them for you.

What are the chances of the 50k offer coming back for the Sapphire?
